NLP Logix Founded
2011
Three professionals who worked together at a medical services organization, Robert Marsh, Matt Berseth and Ted Willich, decided to start a new company focused on delivering natural language processing (NLP) solutions to the healthcare industry. Little did they know, they would soon pivot after winning a Kaggle data science competition, to delivering machine learning solutions across many industries and become one of the fastest growing AI companies in the United States.
Practice Fusion Kaggle Contest
2012
Lead Scientist Matt Berseth placed 2nd of 146 in the Kaggle Practice Fusion classification contest. The contest identified patients with undiagnosed Type 2 Diabetes and launched the new business model of focusing on delivering machine learning solutions to industry.
Flight Quest Kaggle Contest
2013
NLP Logix receives honorable mention for it’s work on predicting the timeliness of a commercial flight, blending over 100 individual machine learning models to make accurate predictions.
Florida Poison Information Center Network
2013
NLP Logix begins working with the Florida Poison Information Center Network to create statistical analyses of Poison Control data in conjunction with data from Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration. This collaboration was recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal as the best tech collaboration of the year.
Big Data Jax
2014
As part of our commitment to growing the data science community in Jacksonville, NLP Logix took over leadership of the local data science meetup group. Founded by NLP Logix COO Robby Robertson, Big Data Jax has since grown to be the largest tech meetup in Jacksonville.
Paypensity
2014
NLP Logix begins work in the Accounts Receivables Management industry through Paypensity, which uses machine learning to better predict who is more likely to pay a debt.
Tableau Alliance Partner
2014
NLP Logix is selected as a Tableau Alliance Partner and recognized for its ability to integrate machine learning models into Tableau.
NVIDIA Inception Program Member
2015
NLP Logix is accepted into the NVIDIA Inception program based on innovative work in the computer vision space. NVIDIA Inception program was created to nurture cutting edge AI Startups who are revolutionizing industries.
Inaugural Data Science Bootcamp Class
2015
The first class of local high school students worked with NLP Logix team members to learn to model data and presented their results to staff from the mayor’s office.
NLP Logix in the JBJ Fast 50
2016
After three years of strong growth, NLP Logix was named as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Jacksonville.
Camelyon16
2016
The CAMELYON16 is an international challenge to evaluate solutions for automated detection of metastases in clinical slides. NLP Logix’s production ready results were in the top five finalists and presented in Prague at the CAMELYON conference.
Jacksonville Analytics Partner
2016
NLP Logix is named as the analytics partner for the city of Jacksonville after performing efficacy reviews for programs in the Jax Journey and the Jacksonville Children’s Commission.
Joint product development agreement with Mayo
2017
Mayo Clinic and NLP Logix created a joint product development agreement. Working together, the team utilized computer vision to help radiologists identify brain anomalies, such as hemorrhage and white matter hyperintensities, from MRI and CT scan outputs.

2018
NLP Logix was named in the INC5000 as one of the fastest growing businesses in the country.
ScribeFusion
2018
ScribeFusion is created and offers A.I. enabled automation for the Insurance, BPO and Healthcare industries.
Predictive Aircraft Maintenance
2019
Andromeda Systems, Inc. partnered with NLP Logix to apply AI to improve maintenance and increase fleet readiness for the F-35 fighter jet. These solutions will be extended to ensure that defense aircraft maintenance is optimized across multiple aircrafts.
NLP Logix Awarded Three Deep-Learning Patents
2019
Using the same deep learning techniques that were used to be the number one commercial competitor in the CAMELYON16, NLP Logix applied this to extracting information from document images. NLP Logix applied for, and was awarded three patents for this technique which is being commercialized through Scribe Fusion, a document data capture software.
3rd Patent Awarded
2019NLP Logix was awarded their 3rd Patent for Deep Learning Data Extraction Technique. The core algorithm that was trained to identify breast cancer tumors at a level above a trained pathologist, is now identifying, extracting and classifying millions of document images.
