Our client, a market leader in the Human Capital industry, is one of the biggest providers in this field. They offer sophisticated tools that allow businesses to specify requirements and determine which organizations are best suited based on various factors.
Evaluating Modern Data Platforms
NLP Logix collaborated with the client to explore the development of a new, modern data platform. They needed a comprehensive evaluation of modern data technology to determine the best fit for their environment. Although the client had a capable data engineering team, they lacked the capacity to carry out this extensive project independently. Our initial engagement involved creating a prototype and proof of concept, highlighting the pros and cons of each platform, and providing a well-informed recommendation.
Cloud Migration and Data Processing
Afterward, the client enlisted NLP Logix to migrate their data platform from on-premise to the cloud. Following our previous recommendations from the proof of concept and discovery project, they initiated the extraction process from their on-premise systems and moved this data into the medallion architecture.
Medallion Architecture Implementation
- Bronze to Silver: We re-engineered their approach, focusing on a cloud-native, cloud-first data platform. We processed the extracted bronze data to create silver data tables, ensuring that the data was cleansed and transformed appropriately.
- Silver to Gold: Next, we refined the data further, transforming it into gold data tables ready for analysis and reporting.
- Integration: Finally, we integrated the gold data tables with the client’s visualization technology, enabling the client to leverage advanced analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
